Summer is drawing to a close. We'd like to thank so many of you for taking part in our Tales & Legends Festival, as well as the Medieval Festivals, which have become a real must-see event in the region. All this is thanks to you, but also to our volunteers, without whom nothing would be possible.
The medieval festivities: August 14 and 15!
Transport yourself back several centuries during the 25th Fêtes Médiévales, taking place on Monday August 14 and Tuesday August 15, 2023 at Mortemer Abbey! Take advantage of the day's entertainment, stroll along the Chemin des Ducs and visit the Theme Apartments and the Museum of Ghosts and Legends.

July 2019: 1st Festival of Medieval Puppets
Saturdays 13th, 20th and 27th of July
Sundays 14th, 21th and 28th of July
For the first time at Mortemer Abbey, young and old will be able to come to Medieval Wire Puppet shows, which will be held at different places in the Abbey, all day long.
These shows will make you discover key moments in the history of Normandy, thanks to the work of puppeteers trained by Vytas Kraujelis.
August 2019: 21st Medieval Celebration
Thursday 15th and Friday 16th of August
For the 21th consecutive year, the Abbey of Mortemer organizes its large Medieval Festival during the weekend of 15th August.
On the program: horse tournaments, foot fights, medieval dances for which the public will be invited to participate, a troupe of medieval musician, the loan of costume for young and old, and many other medieval events.
You will also be able to stroll in the big market of craftsmen to discover know-how and to acquire specialties!
August-September 2019: 14th Ghost Nights

Ghosts come back ...
In the company of a guide, you will visit the area of the Abbey to meet the souls that haunt the site. Ghosts will make you discover aspects of their new existence that you do not suspect ...
The Ghost Nights are also a great opportunity to discover the Abbey and its ruins lit by a starry sky or a moonlit night and in its mystical atmosphere ...
Departure by group every 20 minutes (last departure at 10.30pm).
Duration of the trip: about 1:40.
